3 EASY TIPS ON DELETING A PAGE IN GOOGLE DOCS

Tip-1

Here we'll talk about how to delete a page in Google docs and the simplest and the easiest way is to just get rid of the excess content. You might have an entire page full of unnecessary texts. Lengthy and unwanted content can hide the objective of your document and the reader may find it confusing to go through the paragraphs.

  1. Whatever parts  you want to take out, select them.

  2. To highlight those parts, click and drag the cursor whether it is text, image or any type of graph.

  3. On your keyboard, press the Backspace or the Delete key.

  4. The pages will automatically get deleted along with that chosen content, if the selected content is enough to fill a page or two.

  5. The contents which are from different parts of the document, this would apply there as well. The omission would still contribute to a decrease in the page count if the paragraphs you wish to delete belong to different pages.

  6. In the highlights, do not forget to include empty line breaks. Even without containing any texts, a line break will still take up space.

Tip-2

For you, if neither of the above seems to be working, the problem may lie with the way your page margins are set. You need to set the page margins, in that particular case. In such a case it is possible that the margin settings have gone too large. This helps google Docs to add the space at the bottom which leads to a blank page. Through this, we get to know how To Delete A Page In Google Docs.

  1. Click on File after going to the toolbar.

  2. At the bottom of the drop menu, click on the page setup.

  3. To whatever size you desire, you can set all of your margins. Remember that the smaller the number, the smaller the margins.

  4. Remember, this will free up a lot of space in your document and your text would fit perfectly in relatively fewer pages. This will enable the remaining pages to get deleted on its own.

Tip-3

The extra pages in your document can be used for custom spacing as well. Google Docs has an option to add a particular amount of space after a paragraph automatically. If the spacing is unnecessarily large, between the lines or paragraphs, it may lead to a new page at the end of the document. So, you can check Custom spacing to avoid that.

  1. At the top left corner, go to the toolbar and then click on Format

  2. Click over Line spacing.

  3. On the pop-up menu, click on Custom spacing.

You can adjust line spacing and list item spacing when a window appears. Try to adjust them to as less as you can.
