How to ADD AUDIO TO GOOGLE SLIDES – Local Audio Files
It is important that you upload it to your Google Drive first, if your audio file is located in your computer locally.

ADD AUDIO TO GOOGLE SLIDES
On google Slides, open your presentation.
Where you want to insert the audio, select the slide.
Click on Insert after going to the Menu bar.
Select Audio after scrolling down. Then, a window will appear which will display all the uploaded files on your Drive.
Click Select after finding your required file.
On your slide, a speaker icon will appear and just click on that icon to play the audio.
Now, your audio is finally added to your Google Slides offline.
Music streaming services.
From a streaming service, to insert a sound file link, do follow the steps given below:
In a browser window, open the streaming service of your choice and go to that page containing the audio that you want to use.
Through the Share option, copy the URL link, which can be obtained.
Select the slide where you want to insert the audio, after opening your google Slides presentation.
On where you want to put the link, select that image or the text.
Click on Insert after going to the Menu bar, and select Link.
In the given text box, paste the copied link and select Apply.
To test the audio file, now press Present.
2. Video streaming platforms
You can use a video streaming platform as well in order to add audio to google Slides online, apart from above. Steps to insert the link to the video are:
Select Video after going to the Insert, in the Menu bar.
Click Select after pasting the URL link to the video in the pop up window.
On the slide, a thumbnail of the video appears. Move it out of the way after resizing it to however small you want it to be.
Expand the Video playback list, after clicking on the Format options.
Depending on the part of the audio you want to use, enter the Start at and End at timestamps.
For a hands free presentation, you can select Autoplay when presenting.
To test out the audio, press Present.
3. Formatting
On the slide, select the audio icon and in the toolbar, select Format Options.
On the right side of your screen, a sidebar panel will appear listing a few playback options for you.
On click and Automatically are two options which you will find under Start playing. With these, either you can choose to have the audio play automatically or to play on click so that you don't have to click on the icon every time you present that slide.
There is usually no need to see the icon on the screen, in case you choose to have it play automatically, so you can also choose to Hide icon when presenting. It helps to maximize the space on your slide for your prime contents.
For adjustment of volume level, you can use the option Volume when presenting and tune it to your respective liking.
You can choose to have the audio repeat on loop with Loop audio, to play over and over again.
You can check the box for Stop on slide change if you want to assign the audio to that particular slide.
